Moonshot AI Plans Final Pre-IPO Funding Round at $50 Billion Valuation, Possible Hong Kong IPO Within 6 Months

According to reports and insider sources, Chinese AI unicorn Moonshot AI (maker of the Kimi assistant) plans to launch pre-IPO funding negotiations in August targeting a pre-money valuation of $50 billion. The company is expected to complete an ongoing funding round (at pre-money valuation of $31.5 billion) within days and will immediately begin negotiations for an additional financing round, which could be its last private fundraising before listing on the Hong Kong stock exchange. The company could potentially go public within the next 6 months.

Monthly recurring revenue (ARR) reached $100 million in Q1 2026, surpassed $200 million in May, and exceeded $300 million in June, with growth driven primarily by API services and enterprise offerings.
