Musk Acknowledges Optimus Early Production Will Be 'Extremely Slow'

According to Musk on X on Thursday, early production of Tesla's Optimus humanoid robot will be "extremely slow" because "everything is brand new" and unlike vehicle manufacturing. Musk posted the statement in response to speculation about accelerated Optimus V3 production. On Wednesday, he shared a photo with the Optimus production team at Tesla's Fremont factory, where the company is converting former Model S and Model X assembly lines into a dedicated Optimus production facility.
