Netanyahu Says Israel-Iran Conflict to End Only When Iran's Nuclear Program Abandoned or Regime Falls

On July 26, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in an interview that Israel and Iran's conflict will only end when Iran's current regime falls or is weakened enough to abandon its nuclear program. He emphasized that Iran's nuclear efforts must cease regardless of any agreement. Regarding his planned meeting with U.S. President Trump, Netanyahu stated the focus is not to deliver new intelligence, as Israeli and U.S. military and intelligence agencies are already cooperating closely. Netanyahu said the visit's purpose is to discuss and understand Trump's position on the Iran issue, noting that developments largely depend on Trump's final decision.
