Nvidia GB300 AI GPU Wafers Complete Production at TSMC Arizona Fab Using 4nm Process

TSM-1.73%

According to market sources, Nvidia's first GB300 AI GPU wafers using the Blackwell architecture recently completed wafer production at TSMC's Arizona Fab 21 facility using a 4-nanometer process. This marks the first batch of GB300 AI chips manufactured on U.S. soil, demonstrating America's capability to produce advanced AI GPUs.

However, the wafers remain at the fabrication stage. Since the U.S. lacks advanced CoWoS (Chip-on-Wafer-on-Substrate) packaging capacity, the wafers must be airshipped back to Taiwan for TSMC to complete packaging before system integrators can proceed with AI module and server assembly.
