According to Jin10, citing U.S. media reports from yesterday (July 22), Nvidia founder and CEO Jensen Huang stated in an interview that Chinese open-source AI models are excellent and the U.S. should not fear them. Huang defended Chinese large language models, arguing that high-quality open-source models should be used and dismissed misconceptions about DeepSeek and Kimi's impact. He explicitly opposed restricting or banning Chinese open-source models, believing the world needs both open-source and closed-source large models. Regarding concerns about potential backdoors in Chinese AI models, Huang called such notions a mistaken idea.
