According to Beating, an open letter titled "Open Weights and U.S. AI Leadership" has doubled in corporate signatures from 25 to 50 in two days. The letter, initially signed by Nvidia and Microsoft, calls on the U.S. government against premature restrictions on downloadable and self-deployable open-source AI models. OpenAI, Google, AMD, Cloudflare, GitHub, and Cisco have since joined the effort.
