OpenClaw Foundation Formally Launches with Tencent, OpenAI, Nvidia, and Microsoft as Founding Partners

According to Beating, the OpenClaw Foundation, the nonprofit governing body for open-source personal AI agent project OpenClaw, has formally launched operations. The foundation oversees governance, funding, community management, and long-term maintenance while ensuring the project remains open-source and independent. Founding partners include OpenAI, Nvidia, Microsoft, University of Michigan, GitHub, Cloudflare, Vercel, and Tencent. Tencent will provide support in security, deployment, and infrastructure. OpenClaw remains under MIT license, with Peter Steinberger continuing to lead technical decisions.
