According to South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff, more than 10 Chinese and Russian military aircraft entered South Korea's air defense identification zone (KADIZ) without prior notification on the morning of June 27, remaining in the zone for approximately 4 hours before withdrawing. Chinese military aircraft entered the KADIZ near Ieodo in the South Sea, while Russian aircraft breached the zone in the East Sea during their southward transit.

The aircraft, identified as bombers and fighter jets participating in ongoing China-Russia joint air exercises, were tracked by South Korean forces from before entering the KADIZ. The South Korean military deployed fighter jets and implemented tactical measures to prepare for potential contingencies. Seoul's Joint Chiefs of Staff confirmed there were no instances of airspace violation.
