Philadelphia Semiconductor Index Drops 5% on July 3; Storage and Optical Communications Slide

According to BIT market data, the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index fell 5% on July 3, with storage and optical communications sectors declining broadly. SanDisk led declines with a drop exceeding 12%, followed by Micron and Intel falling over 5%. Marvell Technology, Applied Materials, and Corning each fell over 9%, while AMD slid over 4%. Broadcom and Nvidia declined approximately 2%.
