Princess Anne Visits HD Hyundai Shipyard; Stock Surges 7.05% on July 15

According to Korean Economic Daily, Princess Anne visited HD Hyundai Heavy Industries' Ulsan shipyard on July 14, marking the only private sector stop during her Korea trip. The visit sparked expectations for expanded UK orders, as she met with HD Hyundai Chairman Jung Ki-sun to discuss shipbuilding and marine industry cooperation between South Korea and Britain.

HD Hyundai shares surged 7.05% to 203,500 won as of 9:26 AM on July 15, while subsidiary HD Hyundai Electrics gained 4.14%. The visit also highlighted Princess Anne's 49-year connection to the company: she met founder Chung Ju-young in 1983 in London during efforts to secure the Seoul Olympics bid.
