Qualcomm and Meta Sign Multi-Generation Data Center CPU Deal, Production Planned for H2 2028

According to Qualcomm, on June 25 the company signed a multi-generation agreement with Meta to supply data center CPUs. Qualcomm's Dragonfly C1000 chip, designed for AI workloads with focus on power efficiency, is planned to enter production in the second half of 2028. The deal extends the companies' relationship into data center infrastructure, aligning with Meta's expanded capital expenditure of US$145 billion in 2026, partly allocated for additional data center capacity.
