Rubio Denies U.S.-Russia Reached Final Agreement at Anchorage Meeting on June 25

According to Russian news agency TASS, on June 25, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio denied that the United States and Russia reached a final agreement during their Anchorage meeting, stating that discussions covered only proposals regarding Ukraine. Rubio responded to Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov's claim that Russia had observed the U.S. deviating from principles discussed during a previous presidential meeting in August, saying: "We never reached any agreement there." Rubio added that the U.S. remains willing to play a constructive role in Ukraine's peace process.
