Russia Develops Iran-Azerbaijan-Russia Railway Corridor to Address Maritime Route Tensions

According to Guru Club, on July 17, Russia's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov announced efforts to build a railway corridor connecting Iran, Azerbaijan, and Russia to address tensions in existing maritime shipping routes. Lavrov stated that prolonged crisis at the Strait of Hormuz would negatively impact ship navigation, international transportation, and the global economy.
