Russia Launches 68 Missiles and 351 Drones on Ukraine Overnight; 22 Dead as Zelenskyy Urges U.S. Air Defense Support

According to Ukraine's Air Force, Russia launched 68 missiles and 351 drones on Ukrainian targets overnight on July 6. Ukraine's Defense Ministry reported the strikes killed at least 22 people. President Zelenskyy stated Ukraine's air defenses intercepted all 6 Kalibr missiles and 31 cruise missiles, but called on the U.S. to authorize production of Patriot air defense systems to address ammunition shortages.

Meanwhile, Russia's Deputy Foreign Minister said Moscow will maintain contact with the U.S. on the Ukraine issue, signaling continued diplomatic engagement alongside ongoing military operations.
