Russia's Central Bank Announces Incentives for Digital Ruble Salary Payments Starting January 2027

According to Bits.media, Russia's central bank announced on June 25 that it will provide economic incentives to encourage salary payments in digital rubles starting January 1, 2027. Commercial banks will receive 0.67 rubles for each salary transaction processed in digital rubles, with a minimum reward of 10 rubles per instruction batch. The central bank also approved platform service fees: 1 ruble per transaction for corporate-to-individual transfers, with a minimum fee of 15 rubles per batch.
