Saudi Warplanes Enter Yemen Airspace, Houthis Fire Air Defense Missiles on July 3

According to Houthi military spokesman Yahya, Saudi fighter jets entered Yemeni airspace early on July 3, attempting to prevent an Iranian civilian aircraft from landing at Sana'a International Airport. Houthi air defense forces launched multiple air defense missiles in response, forcing the warplanes to withdraw from Yemeni airspace.

The Houthis warned that any further airspace violations or military operations against them would trigger retaliatory strikes on Saudi airports and vital infrastructure. The group reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining air service between Sana'a and Tehran, and expressed appreciation for Iran's support in resuming the flights. Saudi Arabia has not responded to the statement.
