Securitize and Cantor Fitzgerald announced Wednesday they are developing a framework to support blockchain-based initial public offerings and follow-on equity offerings while maintaining compliance with existing securities regulations. Securitize will provide tokenization infrastructure for issuance and distribution, while Securitize Markets (its SEC-registered broker-dealer affiliate) will handle settlement. Cantor Fitzgerald will contribute equity capital markets and trading capabilities to bridge blockchain infrastructure with traditional underwriting and investor access.

The partnership reflects growing momentum in tokenized securities. Tokenized stocks onchain have increased 16% over the past 30 days to nearly $1.9 billion, according to RWA.xyz. The move also aligns with broader adoption efforts; the Depository Trust & Clearing Corp. is piloting tokenization of stocks and U.S. Treasurys with nearly 40 financial companies, including JPMorgan and Goldman Sachs.
