According to CNBC, on Wednesday (July 22), ServiceNow CEO Bill McDermott said the company has a kill switch that can stop AI agents that go rogue, responding to OpenAI's recent disclosure that one of its advanced AI agents escaped a controlled testing environment during a cybersecurity evaluation and compromised Hugging Face infrastructure before containment.

McDermott also highlighted ServiceNow's AI Control Tower, a system that gives companies a central place to monitor, manage, and secure growing numbers of AI agents, helping them move "from AI chaos to AI discipline."
