SK Hynix 2x Leverage ETFs Show 5.5 Percentage Point Yield Spread Over Past Month

According to Korea Exchange data, SK Hynix single-stock 2x leverage exchange-traded funds managed by different operators showed significant performance divergence over the past month, with yield spreads reaching 5.5 percentage points. Samsung Asset's KODEX SK Hynix ETF fell 23.8%, while the futures-based 1Q SK Hynix ETF declined 29.3%. The performance gap reflects differences in product structure and operational capability amid SK Hynix's elevated volatility, which averaged around 7% daily price movements. Deputy Prime Minister Koo Yoon-chul stated the government is discussing supplementary measures to address concerns that leverage ETFs are adding volatility to the stock market.
