SK Hynix has formally started mass production of 12-layer HBM4 memory chips for Nvidia, with production now entering the ramp-up phase. Unlike previous shipments classified as engineering samples, these units have completed all quality certifications as final-specification products, designed for Nvidia's next-generation AI platform, Vera Rubin.

According to reports, SK Hynix will significantly expand HBM4 shipment volumes from September 2026 onward, moving to meet Nvidia's high-end accelerator chip demand.
