South Korea 30-Year and 50-Year Bond Yields Hit Record Highs Today

The yield on South Korea's 30-year and 50-year government bonds hit record highs on July 8, as the bond market showed a divergence between short-term and long-term instruments. Short-dated bonds strengthened with yields falling, while long-dated bonds weakened as yields rose. The spread between 10-year and 3-year yields widened to 47 basis points, marking the largest gap in two months.
