South Korea Launches Power Supply Task Force for Honam Semiconductor Complex with Samsung, SK Hynix on July 29

According to South Korea's Ministry of Climate, Energy and Environment, the government launched a power supply task force on July 28 to support the Honam semiconductor industrial complex, with a startup meeting scheduled for July 29. The working group includes Samsung Electronics, SK Hynix, Korea Electric Power Corporation, and regional authorities. The initiative follows a July 16 discussion between the ministry, Jeollanam-do and Gwangju integrated city, and Korea Electric Power Corporation on power supply arrangements. The task force will focus on expediting the first-phase power transmission line construction and addressing necessary permits and approvals from local governments.
