South Korea Signs $2 Billion Nevada Lithium-Boron Plant MOU with U.S. on July 7

According to South Korea's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, South Korea's state-owned Korea Overseas Infrastructure and Urban Development Corporation (KIND) and Hyundai Engineering signed a memorandum of understanding on July 7 (local time) in Washington D.C. for Nevada's lithium-boron mining and processing project. The total project value is approximately $2 billion, with U.S. Department of Energy funding about $1 billion in loans. The project aims to develop lithium and boron minerals owned by the U.S. Department of Interior into processing plants for semiconductor and battery materials.
