According to Korea Economic Daily, South Korea's Financial Supervisory Service special investigation unit searched the Korea Exchange on July 27 regarding LG&F's corrected disclosure on a Tesla supply contract. The agency secured disclosure documents and related review records filed by LG&F, though the exchange and its employees are not investigation targets.
LG&F originally disclosed a 3.8 trillion won supply agreement with Tesla in February 2023 but revised it downward to 9.73 million won on December 29, 2025, citing changes in supply volumes. The stock fell 9.85% the following trading day. Investigators are also examining LG&F's sale of 1 million treasury shares to overseas institutional investors for 128.1 billion won on December 2, 2025, to determine if the company concealed contract difficulties.
