South Korea's Major Securities Firms Report 4.28 Trillion Won Q2 Earnings Surge, Boost Dividend Outlook

According to Meritz Securities, South Korea's five major securities firms—Mirae Asset Securities, Korea Finance Holdings, NH Investment & Securities, Samsung Securities, and Kiwoom Securities—posted combined second-quarter net income of 4.28 trillion won on July 26, up 29% quarter-over-quarter. The earnings surge was driven by record trading volumes, with Q2 market turnover rising 288% year-over-year.

NH Investment & Securities' expected annualized dividend yield reached the mid-7% range following earnings release, with analyst estimates for dividend per share (DPS) ranging from 1,850 to 2,300 won. Samsung Securities' forecasted 2026 DPS stands at 7,100 won, reflecting a 6.9% dividend yield at current prices.
