SpaceX Joins Nasdaq 100 This Week, JPMorgan Expects $4.3B in ETF Inflows

SpaceX will formally join the Nasdaq 100 index on Tuesday under Nasdaq's "Fast Entry" pathway. According to Reuters, JPMorgan analysts expect the inclusion to trigger inflows of up to $4.3 billion as exchange-traded funds tracking the index buy SpaceX shares at Monday's closing price.

The company sold less than 5% of its shares through its initial public offering last month. Nasdaq stated it will adjust the weight of SpaceX shares in its indexes based on changes in the company's free float over time, effectively adding the security in multiple tranches to mitigate single-entry risks.
