SpaceX Tests Proprietary Smartphone Thinner Than iPhone With Custom OS

According to The Wall Street Journal, SpaceX is testing a proprietary smartphone and exploring expanded mobile communications services. Investors have viewed a prototype device with a form factor thinner than iPhone that runs SpaceX's custom operating system. During IPO preparations, SpaceX President Gwynne Shotwell discussed the potential to build ground network infrastructure for mobile services and explore carrier partnerships. SpaceX currently provides mobile connectivity in remote areas through collaborations with T-Mobile via Starlink.
