Standard Chartered Launches Institutional USDC Minting and Redemption Services With Circle

According to official statements, Standard Chartered Bank launched institutional USDC minting and redemption services in partnership with Circle, becoming the first globally systemically important bank to offer such integrated services. Eligible institutional clients can now access USDC through a single onboarding process without directly opening a Circle account.

The service is initially available through Standard Chartered's Dubai International Financial Centre operations, supporting on-chain settlement, fund management, and liquidity management use cases. The bank plans to expand to additional markets pending regulatory approval.
