According to Thai Deputy Government Spokesperson Lalida Periswivattana, Thai authorities seized 315 illegal Bitcoin mining rigs across 14 locations in five Isan provinces on June 21, 2026. Operators stole electricity worth over $1.2 million USD (40.38 million baht) by tampering with meters and illegally tapping into the power grid. Investigators detected the operations by identifying abnormal electricity consumption patterns and unusual power outages in the region.
