Trump Administration Advances $700M+ Jet Engine Sales to Turkey Ahead of NATO Summit

According to sources familiar with the matter, the Trump administration is advancing plans to sell dozens of jet engines to Turkey worth over $700 million on Wednesday, despite opposition from some U.S. Congress members. The engines, produced by General Electric, will be used for Turkey's first domestically developed fighter jet, KAAN. The sale is seen as a goodwill gesture toward Ankara ahead of NATO's summit scheduled in Turkey next month.
