Trump Administration Unveils $17.5B Nuclear Support Plan, 10 New Reactors Targeted by 2035

According to Bloomberg, the Trump administration announced on June 23 it will provide $17.5 billion in low-interest loans to support construction of 10 new nuclear reactors across the U.S. The plan aims to reduce nuclear project development timelines by up to three years and address rising electricity demand from rapid AI data center expansion. The first new reactors are expected to begin operations by 2035.
