Trump Convenes Military Meeting to Discuss Large-Scale Iran Operations on July 14 After 4-Day Strike

According to Axios, on July 14, President Trump convened a situation room meeting to discuss military operations against Iran extending far beyond current strikes in the Strait of Hormuz region. Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, Joint Chiefs Chair Dan Kane, CIA Director John Ratcliffe, and other senior officials attended.

The U.S. military has conducted four consecutive days of strikes on Iranian targets in the Strait of Hormuz and southern Iranian coast. During a separate Fox News interview, Trump previewed that strikes would escalate over the coming days, with "very strong hits" on Iran within three days, after which operations could intensify significantly.
