According to the Wall Street Journal, on July 8, AI Financial (formerly Alt5 Sigma, ticker: AIFC), the Nasdaq-listed crypto company backed by the Trump family, is in negotiations with blockchain technology firm Perpetuals to sell its core business. The discussed deal price could reach as high as $15 million, according to sources familiar with the transaction and company filings. The deal terms remain unsettled and may change as negotiations progress; the transaction could ultimately fall through. The acquisition comes roughly one year after the company paid $750 million to acquire control of a small payments company.
