According to The Block, on Monday, President Trump called himself a "big crypto guy" during the launch of Trump investment accounts for children, while attempting to distance himself from his family's cryptocurrency ventures.
Trump said he supports crypto due to its political importance and business potential, noting that "a lot of money" is flowing into bitcoin and other digital assets. However, when pressed about his family's World Liberty Financial, which holds hundreds of billions of dollars in bitcoin and ethereum according to a government ethics disclosure released last week, Trump stated he does not discuss crypto matters with his children and claimed this is not a conflict of interest given his office's "higher calling."
