Typhoon Bavi Prompts Fujian Maritime Authority to Activate Level-4 Emergency Response Today

China's Ministry of Transport maintained a Level-2 rainfall defense response and Level-4 typhoon response today (July 7) as Typhoon Bavi, the year's ninth typhoon, impacts the region. Fujian Maritime Safety Administration activated its Level-4 emergency response. Maritime authorities are conducting pre-typhoon hazard inspections with enterprises and vessels, and intensifying navigational warnings to vessels transiting the area, particularly remote ocean-going vessels, to avoid the typhoon-affected zone.
