UK 10-Year Gilt Yields Fall 4 Basis Points to 4.94%, Could Drop 20bp If Budget Adheres to Rules

According to UBS strategist Mustafa Oguz Caylan in a Wednesday report, UK 10-year gilt yields have fallen 4 basis points to 4.94%. Caylan stated that if the autumn budget complies with current fiscal rules, gilts could see a rebound of at least 20 basis points, as policy uncertainty has added roughly 20 basis points of risk premium to the benchmark rate.
