UNDP Establishes Blockchain Advisory Group with 26 Member Institutions on June 3

According to UNDP official announcement, the United Nations Development Programme established the Blockchain Advisory Group (BAG) on June 3 during the Paris Proof of Talk 2026 conference, chaired by UNDP Deputy Administrator Xu Haoliang. The group comprises 26 member institutions, including Ethereum Foundation, Kraken, Algorand Foundation, Arbitrum Foundation, Avalanche Foundation, Cardano Foundation, Filecoin Foundation, and Stellar Development Foundation. The advisory group will convene twice annually to explore blockchain applications in development across five focus areas: public trust and digital governance, financial inclusion, climate sustainability, digital identity, and digital labor.
