U.S. 10-Year Treasury Yield Hits 4.7%, New Trump Term High; Bianco Urges Fed Action

Wall Street veteran Jim Bianco said the Federal Reserve must take action to halt the surge in U.S. Treasury yields. On July 23, Bianco stated via X that the 10-year Treasury yield reached its highest level during President Donald Trump's second term, with yields exceeding 4.7%. He argued that amid serious market inflation concerns, the Fed should respond and take inflation seriously to reassure bond investors. If the Fed rationalizes inflation as not being a problem, bond investors could face panic, Bianco added.
