U.S. Launches Airstrikes on Iran, Announces Port Blockade with 20% Tariff on July 15

According to Xin Hu Futures research report released July 15, the U.S. conducted consecutive airstrikes on Iran and announced a blockade of Iranian ports effective from the early morning of July 15, imposing a 20% fee on transiting goods. The escalating U.S.-Iran tensions and geopolitical risks have triggered a sharp rebound in crude oil prices, with shipping volumes through the strait contracting significantly. Domestically, SC crude oil remains weak compared to Brent crude due to low refinery utilization rates, maintaining a deep discount.
