According to Gate market data, U.S. stock indices opened lower on July 23. The Dow fell 0.92%, the S&P 500 declined 1.12%, and the Nasdaq dropped 1.75%. Tesla (TSLA) slumped approximately 9% after reporting quarterly earnings that fell short of expectations, with free cash flow turning negative for the first time in over two years. Alphabet (GOOG) declined about 6% following an upward revision of its fiscal-year capital expenditure forecast amid sustained cash flow pressures.
