U.S. Suspends Withdrawal of 75 Military Aircraft from Israeli Airport on July 14 Amid Iran Tensions

According to Israeli media on July 14, the United States has suspended the withdrawal of military aircraft from Ben Gurion International Airport near Tel Aviv as tensions with Iran escalate. The Israeli Airports Authority warned that the suspension could strain parking capacity and disrupt summer air traffic, with up to 50,000 flights potentially cancelled. Since February 28, approximately 75 tanker and transport aircraft have been stationed at the airport as part of U.S. regional military deployment. The U.S. had begun removing some aircraft following a memorandum of understanding with Iran, but the suspension reverses that process.
