Valar and Nvidia Demonstrate First Nuclear-Powered AI Data Center in Utah, Slashing Water Usage to Near Zero

Valar Atomics and Nvidia announced the successful demonstration of the first AI data center powered by a microreactor in Utah. The facility pairs Valar's high-temperature gas-cooled microreactor with Nvidia's Blackwell chip platform. The reactor uses helium rather than water for cooling, combined with Nvidia DSX's closed-loop liquid cooling design, reducing the facility's annual water consumption from approximately 2.6 million gallons per megawatt to near zero.
