Velo3D Stock Falls for Fourth Straight Day After Morpheus Report Questions SpaceX Relationship

According to short-seller Morpheus Research, Velo3D Inc. (VELO) shares fell on Thursday, extending declines to a fourth consecutive session, after the firm published a report alleging the company overstated its relationship with SpaceX. Morpheus claimed that SpaceX has not purchased a new Velo3D printer since 2022, and now possesses the ability to manufacture its own machines under a 2024 intellectual property licensing agreement. The stock declined 5-10% in morning trading Thursday before partially recovering. The short-seller also questioned Velo3D's defense pipeline as "highly speculative" and challenged CEO Arun Jeldi's background.
