Visa Expands Stablecoin Settlement to Nine Blockchains, Hits $7B Run Rate on April 29

According to Visa's announcement on Wednesday (April 29), the payments giant expanded its global stablecoin settlement pilot to nine blockchains, with its annualized settlement run rate surging to $7 billion, up 50% from the previous quarter.

Visa added support for five new blockchains—Arc, Base, Canton, Polygon, and Tempo—joining its existing infrastructure for Avalanche, Ethereum, Solana, and Stellar.
