Visa Reports $11.6B Q3 Revenue, Up 14%, Outlines Multi-Layer Stablecoin Strategy

Visa reported fiscal third-quarter revenue of $11.6 billion, up 14% from a year earlier, according to its Q3 earnings call. The payment network outlined its broader stablecoin strategy, saying it is investing across multiple layers of the stablecoin ecosystem, including blockchain, issuance, wallets, infrastructure and applications. Visa noted it joined the OpenStandard consortium to issue the OpenUSD stablecoin for global money movement. The company's stablecoin platform is designed to enable partners to settle with Visa in stablecoins and move money between fiat currencies and stablecoins, beginning with OpenUSD. Cross-border volume grew 13% year over year, while processed transactions rose 10%.
