MATIC has now been upgraded to POL. The price is around 0.078 u. It is down more than 90% from its all-time high of 1.29—this is a very brutal drop.

This week the sell-off has been a bit sudden: down about 5%. If you stretch it to a month, it still looks like a small gain—up less than 3%. This suggests a rhythm where it first pumped, then got smashed back. The 24-hour movement is not big: the high is 0.0796 and the low is 0.0781, with a narrow range of oscillation.

A drop of more than 90% like this is relatively extreme among more mainstream projects, indicating that the market sentiment has never really been on its side. Even the name change and token upgrade didn’t manage to push the price back up.

The circulating supply is basically the entire total supply, and there won’t be much new release coming afterward. So selling pressure is not the main contradiction here—the key is whether new capital is willing to come in.

At this level, if it can hold the 0.078 range and not break down further, it will most likely keep grinding at the bottom. If you want to catch the dip, you can pay attention around here, but be prepared that it may take quite a long time. For shorting, chasing shorts at this point isn’t great value anymore, since it has already fallen enough. If there’s truly going to be improvement, it may still depend on whether there are solid, real positive catalysts coming next. #matic $MATIC
