78 Ships Transit Strait of Hormuz in Single Day, Highest Since U.S.-Israel-Iran Tensions; Oil Tanker Rates Spike

According to S&P Global Platts and CCTV Finance, 78 ships transited the Strait of Hormuz on June 24, marking the highest single-day passage since the outbreak of U.S.-Israel-Iran tensions. Daily average throughput this month has recovered to approximately 57% of pre-conflict levels. Rising traffic coupled with northern hemisphere seasonal energy restocking has driven international oil tanker rental rates sharply higher.
