About 80% of Crypto Exchanges Cannot Survive Under MiCA as Transition Ends July 1, OKX CEO Says

According to OKX European CEO Erald Ghoos, about 80% of cryptocurrency exchanges will be unable to survive under the European Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA) as the transition period ends on July 1. The European Securities and Markets Authority requires unauthorized platforms to stop serving EU customers, while approximately 60% of European crypto users remain on unregistered platforms with little hope of gaining compliance. Over 200 service providers have already received full authorization under the new ruleset.
