Apple's Vision Pro Hardware Lead Joins OpenAI Next Week

According to Bloomberg, Paul Meade, Apple's Vision Pro hardware chief, will join OpenAI next week to lead the company's expanding hardware division, where he will oversee development of AI-native device products.

For the past seven years, Meade led hardware engineering for Vision Pro and spearheaded development of Apple's next-generation smart glasses designed around AI and sensing technology, not displays. Fletcher Rothkopf will assume his responsibilities at Apple's Vision Products Group.
