Avalanche Treasury Shares Drop 73% Since June Debut; AVAX Holdings Lose $142.5M

According to SEC filing and The Block, Avalanche Treasury Co. (AVAT) shares fell 73% since their June 11 Nasdaq debut, dropping from $1.85 to $0.50 by quarter-end. The decline was driven by unrealized losses in the company's AVAX holdings: its 13.39 million AVAX tokens declined from a cost basis of $265.3 million to a fair value of $122.8 million, representing an unrealized loss of approximately $142.5 million. The filing revealed net losses of $26.78 million and a net working capital deficit of $9.06 million, prompting management to acknowledge "substantial doubt" about the company's ability to continue operating over the next 12 months.
